Fall Newsletter - 2003

October Open House

On Sunday, October 19th, 2003, from 1 PM to 3 PM, the Center of Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery of York will have an open house. The latest in skin care, micro-dermabrasion, make-up, and other services of the Face-to Face Aesthetic Center will be presented. See the results, firsthand, of semi-permanent makeup of the eyelids, brows, and lips. There will be discussions of many of the cosmetic procedures performed by Dr. Dabb. Both the YAG and CO2 lasers will be demonstrated. The representative from the Mentor Corp. will be present to discuss the efficacy breast implants. There will also be a drawing at the door for those who have pre-registered for the "Not Totally Complete Makeover" door prize. We look forward to seeing you all there.

New Botox-Collagen Package

The Center was the first practice in the region to institute a "Botox Package" over a year ago. This stimulated patients to purchase 8 consecutive Botox treatments to be given at two month intervals. The concept is that repetitive Botox treatments given before the muscles fully reanimate will give a better and more long-lasting result. By buying the package, the patient also saved $1000 in total cost.

It has been recently suggested that the combination of Botox and collagen, given simultaneously, will also provide a better and more lasting result. Due to this, and due to the popularity of "fillers", the new "Botox Package" will consist of the same Botox treatments along with a complementary treatment of dermal collagen. This new human dermal collagen does not require skin testing, so it may be performed at the same time as the initial Botox treatment. This $3400 value will be provided at the cost of $2400; again, the savings of $1000.

Other "fillers" that will soon be available at the Center will be Radiance (a micronized hydroxyapatite which lasts approximately two years) and Restylane (an injectable form of hyaluronic acid).

Fall Laser Specials

Treat your spider veins or your unwanted body hair with the Fotona laser. This is the only laser that does not risk lightening of the skin. This is the best time of year to have these treatments. There will be a 10 percent savings for anyone who books in October and November. Please call for a complimentary spider vein or hair removal consultation.

Jeannine Dabb and the American Society of Plastic Surgery Skin Care Specialists

Jeannine was elected this year as secretary of the American Society. She recently participated in revamping their entire website. She will be attending the Board meeting of the Society in San Diego from October 25th to October 28. She will be bringing back many new ideas to the skin care center.
